The Frozen Lake by @monpjc
Today I passed a frozen lake and could see fishermen in shorts.
Quietly they sit sipping tea and nibbling on a sandwich, some with hats and some with umbrellas to protect them from the heat of the sun. I could see them staring hard at the water’s surface trying to tell if the ripples are from a warm breeze or a fish under the surface.
The lake may be frozen and the banks barren – but still we...
